Groups gather during the week for an in-depth, vigorous engagement of the Bible using various teaching methods.
Speaker Series
This program provides nationally known speakers such as Bishop Shelby Spong, Dr. Marcus Borg, the Rev. Jim Wallis, and Dr. Diana Butler Bass.
Women and Men's Spirituality Gatherings
Women and men gather monthly to grow our faith in good company. Focus can be on a scriptural passage, life theme, movie, or spiritual practice. We come to know and pray for one another, and to grow in the faith that unites us with creativity and humor!
Prayer Shawls
In March 2007, our women began knitting (and purling) a ministry. Prayer Shawls are knit in a spirit of prayer and shared with those needing a sense of God’s presence around them. Shawls are given at births or baptisms, to those hurting in body or spirit, or to those grieving the loss of a loved one. As of September 2008, 40 prayer shawls have been offered as an expression of God’s care and ours. If you know someone who could benefit from such a gift, please contact Parish Associate Jenny Warren.
