First & Central is one of 55 churches that comprise the New Castle Presbytery. Ours is one of the first established in the United States.
Covenant Network of Presbyterians
The Covenant Network is a national group of clergy and lay leaders working to articulate the church’s historic, progressive vision and to work toward a fully inclusive church.

St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church, New Orleans R.H.I.N.O. Project
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, partners united to alleviate suffering in the Greater New Orleans community. Specifically, F&C coordinates and hosts outside work groups.

A non-profit interfaith center providing pastoral counseling, psychotherapy and continuing education for ministry.

The mission of this organization is to provide learning experiences that promote connection, health, and wholeness.
Friendship House
A non-profit Christian corporation committed to impacting the lives of homeless people in New Castle County through spiritual ministries of hospitality, education, empowerment and community.
Rodney Street Tennis and Tutoring Association
A non-profit organization that provides services for at-risk inner-city boys and girls opportunities for children in the Great Wilmington Region to reach their full potential on and off the tennis court. The lessons learned from this program go far beyond tennis. RSTTA combines academics, athletics, nutrition, and civic responsibility to encourage the development of a child from a holistic perspective.
Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County
Habitat has been building affordable housing with low-income families since 1986. Our members build homes and host an annual fund-raising dinner.
Interfaith Coalition: Building Blocks for Wilmington
An alliance based on spiritual faith based on a deep concern about violence in many parts of our city.
Meals On Wheels Delaware
Our Meals On Wheels volunteers provide hot, nutritious meals to homebound senior citizens in the community.

A non-profit children’s literacy organization providing reading tutors for public school students, founded in New Orleans in 1985.
Wilmington Friends School
The school remains faithful to the vision of the Friends who founded the school in 1748, educating young people in Quaker values and principles. First & Central hosts two Friends Pre-School classrooms.
Women’s Opportunity Link of Delaware
This organization’s mission is linking low-income and underemployed women to living wage job training programs and employment opportunities.

A nonprofit organization and Delaware’s largest and oldest AIDS service organization, providing statewide services and education.
Church World Service
Founded in 1946, this organization is the relief, development, and refugee assistance ministry of 35 Protestant, Orthodox, and Anglican denominations in the United States, working worldwide to meet human needs and foster self-reliance.
Delaware Aging Network
Established in 2005, DAN is a consortium of over 30 agencies throughout Delaware committed to improving the quality of services older adults receive in the state. DAN works to create coordinated services for seniors, specifically in the areas of transportation, health care, and housing.
Narcotics Anonymous
An international, community-based association of recovering drug addicts with more than 43,900 weekly meetings in over 127 countries worldwide.
Power Up Gambia
With the installation of solar panels, the Sulayman Jungkung General Hospital will have a reliable power supply to provide clean running water, power to run incubators, use electronic microscopes, and perform surgeries, day or night, when needed. Refrigeration means vaccines can be safely stored and a blood bank can be established.
Sojourners
Founded in 1971, this mission is to articulate the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church, and the world.
Sunday Breakfast Mission
The Mission ministers to homeless men, children and women, carrying the Christian emphasis and content: To provide rest for the body and peace for the soul.

A free program of support, education and hope for people with cancer and their loved ones.
Music Organizations
Center City Chorale
A 45-voice mixed SATB choir designed for and comprised of people who work in downtown Wilmington. CCC normally performs during Thursday Noontime Concerts at F&C.
Cathedral Choir School of Delaware
This school has provided musical education to children and youth of Wilmington and the surrounding region since 1883. This program raises up young people who are at risk; expects academic, social and performance excellence; and gives hope for the future.
The Rainbow Chorale
A non-profit Delaware community chorus providing gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender persons, their friends and supporters with opportunities to perform choral music in a supportive and affirming environment.
Wilmington Children’s Chorus
A multi-cultural choir, sponsored by the City of Wilmington and Mayor James M. Baker, Mayor, as a project of Cityfest, Inc., whose mission is to develop a choir that is diverse in membership, performance and musical repertoire to enhance the Wilmington music scene.

The Labyrinth Society
This organization is made up of international labyrinth enthusiasts who work to place labyrinths in schools and promote them for use in mainstream health care.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Compassion and love for knitting/crocheting are combined into spiritual practice, reaching out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as celebration and joy.
